Policies and Rules

The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) came into force on 1 July 2020. Companies and similar entities, including retirement funds, need to be fully compliant with POPIA by 30 June 2021.

The Information Regulator has compiled a guide regarding how you can access your own personal information, in line with the POPI Act. This Guide will specifically assist a person on how to access his/her personal information in terms of s23 of POPIA.
